WSCC to host annual job fair
MARIETTA, Ohio (March 10, 2017) - Washington State Community College (WSCC) will hold its annual Spring Job Fair on Thursday, March 16 from 4:30 pm – 6 pm. More than 50 employers from throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley will be on hand to discuss job opportunities.
This is the fourth year the college has held the event and it has expanded each year, said Carrie Thrash, WSCC Director of Admissions. The fair will open for WSCC students, alumni and Veterans from 4:30 pm – 5 pm, and then to the public from 5 pm – 6 pm.
“This is a great networking opportunity,” Thrash said. “Each year this event gets people in front of potential employers and allows them to make real connections with companies who are actually looking to hire.”
The 50+ participating companies include Camden Clark Medical Center, Hi-Vac Corporation, Memorial Health System, Northwestern Mutual, Peoples Bank, Perry & Associates CPAs, Simonton Windows, Verizon Wireless, Wolf Creek Contracting Co., and many more. Many employers will come prepared to hire, so it is suggested that attendees come with several copies of their resume and dressed for an interview.
