Local Wendy's Franchise Owners Donate $2,000 Toward Scholarship Endowment
MARIETTA, OHIO (November 10, 2016) –Ray and Kim Blackburn, local Wendy's franchise owners, recently donated $2,000 toward The Wendy's Adoption Scholarship Endowment established with Washington State Community College Foundation.
The Blackburns partnered with Washington State Community College three years ago to establish the endowment that provides a scholarship for college-age students who are adopted or has been part of the foster care system.
Proceeds of this donation were made possible by a contribution to Wendy's from the Pioneer Antique Auto Club.
A check presentation was made recently at the Wendy's located on Muskingum Dr., one of several franchises owned by the Blackburn's. On hand to receive the check were WSCC President Dr. Bradley Ebersole; WSCC Foundation Director Anna Rittenhouse; Wendy's Marketing Manager Doug Terrell; Wendy's General Manager Mark Barker and Wendy's Operator/Partner Jason Brown.
