The 59-year-old entrepreneur runs his small business, goes to school full-time, is actively involved on campus and manages to maintain honors-level grades. While his active life leaves little time for sleep, it has gained him some notoriety on campus as April’s Student of the Month.

WSCC's Practical Nursing Program Opens Enrollment to High School Seniors

MARIETTA, OH (March 30, 2017)—The Practical Nursing program at Washington State Community College (WSCC) recently announced plans to create a nursing pathway for College Credit Plus (CCP) students. The opportunity will help high school students blaze a path toward earning their certificate in Practical Nursing (PN), and upon successful completion, put them in a position to earn their Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) in only one additional year.

Evergreen Arts & Humanities Series Presents the Guitar Stylings of Julio Ribeiro Alves

MARIETTA, OH (March 28, 2017) — The Evergreen Arts & Humanities Series at Washington State Community College (WSCC) in collaboration with the Schwendeman Agency, Inc. and the Marietta Community Foundation announce an upcoming presentation of "Spring Tales: An Evening of Guitar Music” with Júlio Ribeiro Alves.

Dr. Alves will perform on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. in the Graham Auditorium on the campus of Washington State Community College. He will be joined by local performers, David Puls on violin, and Cynthia Puls on cello. Admission to the concert is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required, but seating is limited and is on a first come, first served basis.
